And you are so right about new forms of child neglect in the Internet Age! I think many parents, in particular, are neglectful of the fact that unrestricted internet access endangers their children. To some extent, it is ignorance, but we have a growing body of knowledge about the obvious harms to children’s psychosocial development and their wellbeing. There are ethical limitations that need to be exercised for internet access, like any technology—especially regarding children. Parents wrongly assume that internet providers and online platforms regulate more than they actually do.
